The Ski Co specialise in school and social groups. We offer discounted packages for groups of 20 or more. We have a reputation for providing good quality clothing and equipment, plus qualified friendly staff.
We have packages available for skiing, boarding and snow play. Large range of budget priced accessories, hats, gloves, goggles etc. Purpose built group hire able to equip 200+ customers at the same time. 50 customers in 20 mins for Fun Packs and 50 mins for Skier/Snowboarder Packs.
Why hire in Cooma?
With the extreme weather conditions in the Snowy Mountains, it is advisable to outfit your students/groups before arriving in the snow. The Ski Co has fitted out large school and social groups for over 25 years, our reputation for excellent service is second to none. We have a purpose built ski hire facility, with a unique double hire system designed to outfit up to four coach groups simultaneously, reducing the time to collect equipment.
Our experienced and friendly staff will make the pickup and return of snow equipment both enjoyable and easy, after all, they love the snow too!
Information for school groups
The following information has been provided to make your visit to the snow as pleasant and successful as possible. Weather in the mountains can alter dramatically in the space of a few hours, from sunshine and mild temperatures to snowfalls and very cold conditions, it is advisable to have clothing suitable for the possible changes. Beanies, gloves and eye protection are essential.

Clothing required for a day in the snow
Layers of clothing preferable to one heavy garment, you will need to wear--A short sleeve tee shirt.A skivvy or long sleeve tee shirt.A tracksuit top, jumper or polar fleece.A spare pair of track pants and socks on the day.
Our hire parkas and pants are waterproof, wind proof and insulated for warmth, it depends how each student feels the cold the number of garments worn under their hire clothing. Students will need to bring or purchase from the Ski Co.Waterproof insulated gloves.Headwear, warm hat or beanie.Sunglasses or goggles.Sun cream and lip balm.

Non Skiers:
FUN PACKAGES Waterproof & windproof, clothing (pants, parka or suit).
Waterproof insulated, non-slip walk boots.
Toboggan, optional, lots of fun, not included in fun pack price, (Please check your schools regulations regarding hire of toboggans).
Skiers / Snowboarders packages:
Skis, boots & poles or Snowboard & boots.
Waterproof & windproof clothing (pants parka or suit).
Helmets are optional, the wearing of helmets is not compulsory.
Wrist guards are optional for snowboarders.

Gloves and Hats – Contact us for prices (Cheap gloves from chain stores are rarely waterproof, it will be printed on the label if they are).
Payment options:
Pay by cheque or credit card on the day, we issue you with a tax invoice.
School is invoiced for hire.
Cash on the day, not recommended as it slows down service and students can not claim back GST.
Due to the high cost of clothing and equipment, lost articles must be paid for.
We can also arrange your NPWS entry, Thredbo AIS snow specials, Skitube, lift and lessons or chair lift rides at all NSW ski resorts.
